How Does It Work?

Women hear about the Pregnancy Care Clinic (PCC) as result of community wide advertising, public relations and word of mouth. Frequently, they are attracted by the offer of "FREE SERVICE" which includes free pregnancy testing. Once the client comes to the Clinic, the following process occurs:

  1. The Client comes to the clinic and is asked to fill out a "Request for Services" form. This alerts the volunteers to the type of service this client desires.
  2. Education on pregnancy options is given to the client; it includes the methods and risks of abortion, parenting, and adoption.
  3. Medical personnel have been added to the staff to provide verification of pregnancy and to help the woman bond with the baby in the womb.
  4. Volunteers are specially trained in working with clients in crisis. The client must be able to make a knowledgeable decision regarding her pregnancy.
  5. The love of Christ is presented to the client in word and deed.
  6. Life plans are developed by the client with the help of the volunteer to cover the duration of the pregnancy and desires or goals for the future.
  7. Resources are marshaled to the clients assistance, and a caring community is opened up to her/him.
